Nursery School Opening Hours & Fees

The Village Nursery School is situated in the rural village of Greatham in a purpose-built building adjoining the village hall.

The nursery consists of four rooms.

Fees

Our fees are £10.00 per hour for children aged 2-3 years and £9.50 for children aged 3-4 years on government grant.

Our fees for 9months to 2 year old children are £10.50.


Invoices are issued at the beginning of each term with a pay by date.  If your child is sick or you take a holiday fees must still be paid.  Your invoice will be dated from and to our term dates, which run closely with the school term dates, and these are not flexible.  

 

Or you may choose:  Extended weeks.

The nursery will be open for 47 weeks a year, closing for 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter, 2 weeks in July and Bank Holidays.

The opening hours of the Nursery School for the extended (out of term time) weeks are, Monday to Friday 9.00-4.00 but we offer early morning and evening sessions.

Early morning start, 8.00-9.00 morning session 9.00 – 12.00, morning plus lunch time 9.00 – 1.00, afternoon session 1.00 – 4.00 and evening sessions to 5.00.

If your child is sick or you take a holiday these fees must still be paid.

These will be booked and guaranteed.

Nursery Provided Snacks

Snacks are charged at 50p per session and parents have the option to opt in or opt out and provide their child with their own snacks from home. Please note that a £1 charge will be invoiced should the nursery have to provide your child with a snack on your behalf. These charges are invoiced termly 

Sessional Opening Hours

The opening hours of the Nursery School are:

Monday to Friday 9.00-4.00 but we offer early morning and evening hours.

We offer: Early morning start 8.00-9.00, morning session 9.00 – 12.00, morning plus lunch time 9.00-1.00, afternoon session 1.00 – 4.00 and evening sessions to 5.00.   Early morning sessions (8.00-9.00), evening sessions (4.00-5.00) and lunch hours (12.00-1.00) are payable even if you are eligible for grant. 

Ad hock sessions subject to availability and late finishes by arrangement, all to be paid at our hourly rate.   Invoices are issued at the beginning of each half term with a pay by date.

Government Grant

15 & 30 hours childcare for eligible working families

For children aged 9 months to 4 years, eligible working families can apply for 30 hours of childcare to use from the term after their child turns 9 months until they reach school age. You will need to apply for a code, please visit beststartinlife.gov.uk. Once your application has been approved, you will get a code for your child which you will need to give to us. Please note that you will have to reconfirm your eligibility every three months.

 

15 hours childcare for all families in England
Your child becomes eligible for grant the term after their third birthday. This entitles your child to 15 hours of childcare for 38 weeks per academic year.

Education & childcare for 2 year olds if you claim certain benefits 
We are also able to offer funding for 2 year olds subject to eligibility. Please ask for details or visit beststartinlife.gov.uk

Any time over and above your grant hours, 8 am to 9 am and 4pm to 5pm will be charged at £10.50,  £10 or £9.50 (dependent on age) per hour.
